training for some event,
the Smart Marathon, perhaps?
Some women stride about
with their arms folded
as though fiery basilisks
with glowing spiky tails
and long rotating horns
might burst drooling magma
and chanting in Hebrew
from their uncrossed chests,
rippling vast irrevocable ruptures
across time and space
if they walked normally.
